The Sunflower Tanka Anthology offers the following terms and conditions to any person and/or entity that engages with this website by submitting any type of work, such as poetry, tiaga art, or tiaga photographs.

We accept tanka, tanka prose, and other forms of experimental tanka poetry listed under the Sunflower Tanka Forms category on the website. We do not accept unsolicited poetry submissions.

We do not accept any work that condones violence, sexism, racism, graphic language, or any discrimination of any kind. We do not accept erotica.

We do not pay our contributors to our journal and/or anthologies.

There are no fees for submitting to our journal, and we cannot give free anthology copies to our contributors. PLEASE NOTE: Poets can purchase an EPUB (Kindle) or PDF (print) copy of the anthology through Amazon.com. If poets live in a country that prohibits the purchase of the anthology through Amazon.com or their country’s Amazon affiliate, they might want to reconsider submitting to this anthology. We do not send copies of the anthology via email or U.S. mail due to tariffs and other tax restrictions.

By submitting to the Sunflower Tanka Anthology, you agree and attest to the following:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• Your work is original.
• Sunflower Tanka/*Unicorn Cats Publishing Services is not liable for any plagiarized work that you may submit.
• You grant Sunflower Tanka/Unicorn Cats Publishing Services the first right to publish your work electronically and on paper. All poetry submissions remain the intellectual property of the author. Any anthologies where your poetry was published remain the property of Sunflower Tanka/Unicorn Cats Publishing Services.
• We do not accept simultaneous submissions. Only submit once per submission period.
